WELDING AND CUTTING TRACTORS

At Schweissen and Schneiden we presented our latest additions to PROMOTECH’s cutting-edge range of trackless and rail welding and cutting tractors.

New! MANTIS Battery – our brand-new cordless dual torch welding tractor engineered for fast, precise, and efficient welding of steel profiles: from flat bars and angles (L) to H-beams, T-bars, channels (C-profiles), and bulb flats.

With dual-sided operation and travel speed from 5 to 130 cm/min, it enables the use of two torches simultaneously in continuous or intermittent welding modes, ensuring faster, more efficient production.

A wide range of optional accessories makes the GECKO family of welding tractors exceptionally versatile — a key reason behind its lasting popularity among professionals across various industries. Recently, in response to valuable feedback from users, we have introduced some practical enhancements to the new-generation GECKO BATTERY 2:

• A built-in oscillator socket for direct powering of the OSC-8 PRO pendulum oscillator
• Torch pre- and post-travel activation timing 
• Reinforced guide arms with the increased cross-section from 10 x 15 mm to 15 x 15 mm

At Schweissen & Schneiden we also presented OSC-8 PRO – the next generation of our renowned OSC-8 pendulum oscillator. Now PROMOTECH’s weave welding solution comes with an integrated LED display. It provides a user-friendly interface for setting and monitoring key welding parameters.

WA 1500 Half Gantry Welding System

Engineered for demanding beam welding tasks, the WA 1000 and WA 1500 deliver precise automated longitudinal welds, reducing both production time and material waste. Equipped with an advanced joint tracking system, they ensure accurate high-quality welds.

Once programmed, the half gantry system can be operated and monitored by a single technician, freeing up skilled welders for more demanding tasks.

Induction Pre-Heating

A new solution that can be easily integrated with PROMOTECH automatic longitudinal welding systems: WA 1000 / 1500 / 2000 / SD / HD. Controlled and uniform pre-heating stabilizes the welding process and effectively eliminates flange distortions, particularly in thinner materials. As a result, it significantly enhances the quality of the weld.

Mini Column & Boom System (SWSO)

The Mini Column and Boom System (SWSO) by PROMOTECH is a modular, compact welding solution designed specifically for circumferential weldingof pipe elements, flanges and fasteners.

Seam tracking attachment along with motorized vertical slide ensure active compensation of torch position vertically and horizontally, with and without oscillation. The system reaches its full potential when combined with PROMOTECH premium positioners.

Pipe and Plate Bevellers

ABM-50 DD Vario is a self-propelled, heavy-duty bevelling machine engineered to deliver high-quality bevels up to 50 mm wide, without thermal distortion or a heat-affected zone (HAZ). Engineered for precise edge preparation on thick plate materials from 8 mm to 80 mm, ABM-50 DD Vario is a great support for anyone working with carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, Hardox, and other challenging materials.

Users working exclusively with carbon steel, can choose a simplified variant with a fixed spindle speed — the ABM-50 DD.

BM-6 Battery is a compact, lightweight, and highly efficient solution for bevelling plates, pipes, and contour profiles. It delivers precise bevels up to 6 mm wide on both steel and aluminium, on workpieces as thin as 4 mm. Depending on the milling head in use, the BM-6 enables bevel angles of either 30° or 45°. A single 45° milling head can be used not only for standard V bevels but also to create flawless radii — R2, R3, R4, or R5 — in just one pass.
